I did read the owners manual and no longer wonder why they "Recomend" you put the child seat in the back. Unfortunately I prefer the passenger seat for the child seat.
1. It is much less distracting for a quick visual/hands on check when he is awake or asleep.
2. I think he really enjoys the view and likes knowing where he is and what's going on.
3. Hope I have at least a second or two to decide where on the truck the brunt of the collision will take place (my side).
4. And yes my Wife thinks I am a bad dad.
5. I do also wonder if the extra MASS of the diesel options will help out out some.
