I was kinda muffed to see that my new '03 2500HD CC would not have an airbag cutoff switch for the passenger side. My old '00 K2500 CC SB had no air bags, and it worked wonderful for those times when we had a few extra kids. Turns out the new trucks only have the switch on standard and extended cabs.
For those who would like to have a switch installed, GM sells a switch kit that can be used on CC trucks. Part number is 15036140. List is around $81, and it fits from '01 to '03. Thats the easy part. The big question is who's gonna plug it in? Turns out you need a form from the NHTSA. Once they approve your form (you gotta give them a reason why you need it), there is a listing on their site of installers. Keep in mind the installers won't even talk to you until you have the approval in hand. Lots of legal issues here. I spoke to one installer, and when I have the switch and NHTSA forms, the rest of the install will be around $100. Its hard to find installers, and none of the dealers in my area were even remotely interested in doing the install. All the NHTSA forms are located at:
