This may be an old post to a lot of readers, but to new owners and reader check your air conditioning piping that run to the front of the truck at a point between the right headlight and the intercooler (the aluminium tube is so soft the engine vibration will pull the tube against the intercooler) only solution is to wrap duct tape at wear point.
met a new DURAMAX owner yesterday, told him about Diesel Page and amazed him with all my deisel knowledge (picked up from this web) and we found the rubbing pipe.

Just remove the passenger's side headlight and you can easily see the offending part. I slit a piece of fuel line lengthwise and slid it over the A/C line and secured it with a couple of wire ties.

I made the dealer replace my AC hose cause it was ready to go it had rubbed through so much. Other things to check is the bracket holding the muffler downpipe (this has happened to many Dmaxs) and driving lights burning around bulbs. I also had the dealer replace the muffler bracket. Next time I take it in I will have them check the lights.
