1995 k2500, L65, This summer I had the timing checked and set and while it was on a tech 2 scanner and it was indicating low range engaged in the various data screens, but no computer codes were thrown, truck was not in low range at the time, could a sensor indicating low range change the
throttle response and shifting?? Also someone said this could be a speed sensor in the transfer case. What is the name of the sensor I am looking for? where is it? and is this an easy fix or does it need to go back to the tranny shop?? Thanks, FF43SC.
Also after timing set, mileage was max 17mph highway driving w/air cond on. Now with it not shifting right, I'm lucky to get 14-15mpg hwy, Auto, 4x4, 4.10 gears, 245-75-16, at 65mph tach shows 2500rpm..truck has 188K miles, is this normal mileage? from what i remember when it was working right, seems tach was around 2200rpm, reading some other posts to me it sounds like torque convertor isn't locking in OD, but i have zero knowledge of tranny/function...Thanks for any info..
