I have a question Im hoping someone can help me with. I have a 2004 lb7 d max with 8500 miles on it. I just put an edge chip in it (impressive). On my attitude monitor I have chosen slip as one of the displayed items. While driving around town I noticed that it always shows from 5-10% to 20-30% slip. Truck runs great is this anything to worrie about? I put it in tow/haul mode trans  EDGE downshifts and slip goes to 0% if I downshift in normal mode still reads that trans is slipping. Thanks for any help.

There's always some slip with an unlocked torque converter due to fluid coupling, but slip should be zero when the TC is locked. The TC is locked in gears 2-5 when T/H is engaged.

I haven't played with the slip function of the E/A.... I thought I'd just let the puters handle it, and use the display space on the monitor for other data. Maybe I should look.... smile.gif
