I was wondering for those of you who are using the deep pan, is there any difference in tranny temps while towing.I'm gonna switch to synthetic, but the local diesel shop said there was nothing to gain by switching to the deeper pan. That I should save the money, the synthetic alone is all that is needed.Thanks Dave :eek:

I am seeing right around 20-25 degree temp drop with the deep pan and Transynd fluid when towing. I would be running about 190 degree tranny temp pulling our 10k 5er, now I am seeing temps anywhere from around 160-175.

Around town I don't get any warmer than 160, when before the upgrade I was right at 190 all the time.

We are going to Lake McConaughy this weekend and will update with temps, but I expect it to stay around 160 degrees as it is fairly level to get there...
