Anyone with a similar year/model, would you please count the number of leafs in your rear spring stack and get back to me?

My truck is so stiff with the lighter flatbed, that even with trailer in tow it bounces terribly. Tried new HD shocks, didn't help...

I am wondering if the original owner added (or ordered) an HD spring stack that could be returned to stock.

My neck and back are killing me!!!

on the 05' there is 10 springs total, overloads and all.

My 2003 has six in the main spring pack, and two overloads up top that make contact under load - per side of course. However, the overloads are not always making contact when the rough ride occurs. The timbrens kick in about the same time - maybe its bouncing off of them...?

My guess is that I either have to add some weight in the form of an auxilary fuel tank, or remove a leaf to get the ride back in line.

I am seriously concerned about my lower back if I don't fix something. Don't want a herniated disc at 42 years old.
