We have a 94 Chev HD cab and chassis in our fleet. Although it has less than 100,000 miles it has been through 4 sets of king pins. The last time we had to replace the axle as it was worn. We kept the old one and are sending out to be metal sprayed. The vehicle is greased every week with a good quality lube. Does anyone know if there is a cure for this problem? The local CAA has a bunch of these in their fleet with the same problem. I have tried both the OEM and aftermarket pins. Looking at the axle it looks beefy enough, but sure has some sort of design flaw. Any help appreciated .
