Bought a set of H2 Wheels, decided to go with some quiet tires that I could get some mileage out of. After measuring the spare (fully aired up) and the new tires, I come out with the EXACT same height of 30.75". Speedo should be the same but the wheels look much better than stock because of the difference in width.(8.5" rim vs the 6.5")

Here are a few pictures. Duramax Pictures (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dwbussell/album?.dir=4870&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dwbussell/my_photos)

On edit these are Michelin LTX A/S 265/70/17E

A 265/75 17 is much taller than a 245/75/ 16. The 17s are 32.6" and the 16s are 30.5"

You are correct. However, when you adjust for the difference in Rim width,(6.5" vs 8.5") the tires are the same height. The wider wheel pulls the center of the tire in, therefore making it shorter. I measured the stock spare, vs the new tires mounted and came up with 30.75" on each.

I did this same upgrade on my 03 GMC 2500HD D/A CC. Got the wheels on e-bay for $204 plus $65 shipping and bought the same tires as you. I have 25K miles on them and they are wearing good. Buy the way isn't White Hall near Pine Bluff? I went to 1st grade in Pine Bluff.

Yes, thats the same White Hall. I'm originally from Warren, AR. Mileage seems to be up since changing back to street tires. First tank back on - 18.2mpg. thats above my usual average of 16-17 corrected. Hoping to start getting 18-20, though 19.2 is my best so far. Nearly 3 years old, 63k miles.
