How many quarts?

I just bought the deep pan and am going to have the Dextron III flushed and replaced with Transynd. How many quarts will it take? I bought 4 gallons because I read it took a little over 15 quarts then I read it took 19.

With shallow oil pan 13 qts


You'll drain 13 but need 15 on the refill ....This is taking into consideration the TC,where the 19 quarts may come with a flush ??
With a flush allow for at least an additional gallon at minimal ..... But extra just in case,I like to have 5 gallons at my disposal... It's a good rule to follow on a weekend or later in the evening when none may be available.....Leaves about 1 to 2 quarts to spare ....

I saved 2 quarts and used the rest of the 5 gal pail to flush with.

The job was a piece of cake.
