I have managed to sit tight all these months, but now I have purchased a big mahogany boat and need the D/MAX-Allison. My budget will prevent me from writing the check until June or July, so I figure I'll just wait and get a 2003. Does anybody have any advance information on this model. Thanks in advance for your comments.

GMC had 2003 at NYC auto show (was quadrasteer, ext cab) At a quick glance it looks little different than the 2002 - they have made some interior changes , changed a couple colors and the grill is a bit different. I asked about sliding glass rear window - not available. He said little or no changes to duramax.
They also had 2003 GMC van there - it's front grill / sheet metal has been changed to look more like current k/c series.
I really wanted to see the 2003 Chevy , to see if it really is as horrible as lots say , unfortunately Chevy was more interested in promoting the ssr truck than its 2003 HD. Guess since they cann't build them fast enough....
They did have 4 duramax on the show floor. I will be placing an order at Buckles Motors as soon as 2003 orders will be accepted.

I LOOKED AT 2003 BOTH CHEVY AND GMC IT SEEMED TO ME THAT CHEVY LOOKED A LITTLE LIKE A DINOSOUR I SAY IN BOOK ONCE. AND GMC WELL THAT NEW GRILL AND BUMPER LOOKS LIKE IT SMILING OR SOMETHING. I DIDN'T LIKE THE CHANGES SO I GOT A 2002. JUST MY .02 WORTH

The best way to describe the new chevy grilles would be to look at an Avalanche or Trailblazer. I think the GMC's look better personally.

I like the 03 GMC make over. :D If I were to buy new again in 03 it would definitely be the GMC, if I could get one. 03's will also get a new dash layout and zone HVAC controls and more radio options. I'm still waiting for the any HP/torque upgrades. The only problem is GMC doesn’t have the emblem like the the chevy bowtie. Darn! I would have to come up with a new login name.

Thanks everybody for the comments. I have been to the Chicago Show coverage and saw the changes in the 2003 models. I can't say i like the Chevy front end that much, but maybe it'll grow on me. I do, however, like the more masculine GMC front end. I will probably order one of the GMCs just as soon as orders are accepted. Does anybody else know where there may be more information regarding the 2003's? Thanks again.

Be sure to check with WWW.bucklesmotors.com in Kentucky you're a hell of a lot closer to them than I was in CA. It sure paid off for me at $49 over invoice. Great people to deal with. Stu
