BLACK Trans fluid

I looked at my friends truck today. It has 50K kms (30Kmiles) and the trans fluid is black.
The dealer makes quiet noises about it and has sent off an oil sample.
The truck is not modified at all but he drives it hard. Is there anyone who has clutch problems
with an unmodified truck?

Not sure of your friends truck. What is it a Chev?
No matter, any transmission fluid that goes black means no or poor cooling. The black is the red dye in transmission fluid that reached a high flash point!!

Yeah, and how often was the trans fluid changed in those 30K miles?
