Is $36.00 a gallon for Allison tranny fluid reasonable?
- Thanks

I don't know about the 1 gallon container price, but 5 gallon buckets are available for $132.00 from Stewart and Stevenson (Corpus Christi, TX). I did a quick search and found a Stewart and Stevenson in San Leandro that is an authorized Allison dealer. However, I realize the cost of a road trip to there from your location would be counter-productive! Maybe the ones in Bakersfield or Corona could order it for you?

Good Luck!

It's $29.85 a gallon at Williams Detroit Diesel-Allison in Hubbard, Ohio. I just bought some. I guess you can use that as a guide.

prices range on transynd quite a bit. Not sure why. 36.00 is actually not a bad price, but it can be found cheaper, trick is getting it to you.. Gotta find somebody who is willing to ship it. I know of a place that does it regularly with no problems.

The GMC Truck Center in Fresno (off of 99) would have it. Not sure about the price, though. I've traded with them in the past and they were always reasonable.

Appreciate all your recommendations. For me it appears as though it boils down to will call as opposed to shipping costs. Oh well. Thanks again.
