The transfer case on my 3500 has developed another leak, this after a leaking seal last year. Is there an additive I can add to stop the leak?

I would not recommend using any type of stop leak. If they work, it is temporary at best.

Where is it leaking? If it is the input or output shaft, they are easy enough to change. If you are having a leak and the fluid level doesn't drop, look for a leak at the rear seal of the tranny, not the transfer case.

If you are having repeated seal failure, I would suggest looking for another cause, not the seal itself.

Not sure where it leaks. The lube shop pointed it out but wouldn't let me in the pit to look at it.

KC-10. Same as the DC-10 with just a few mods. We carry 100,000 lbs more fuel than the plane weights empty. smile.gif
