Lights on Outside Mirrors?

Last night I say a new Chevrolet 4500 wrecker and it had orange lights on the mirrors and I also saw a new ford dually with orange lights on the mirrors. Is this a new law or what purpose do they have? Do they blink when the turn signal is on?

My new Duramax has a chevron in each mirror that is a repeater for the main blinkers - is this what you saw. There is also an illumination lamp built in that shines down for getting into the truck at night.

What light are you speaking about. I have the chevron signal mirrors and I have no light that shines down. Maybe I have not programmed it yet? smile.gif
