ok I know the first thing you will say the tires the lift but i have done a lot of 4x4ing through and over rocks, dirt, mud, (dodges and fords) and never had this problem untill the snow

here,s the story went out last night to do some offroading (tread lightly of course) when the snow got packed in around the trany it would come up to about 2200 rpm then trans would go in to n (not on the dash) the the rpm would come down to around 500 and shift back in to d ? tranny temp on gague was up

any of you have your truck slamming in and out of 4wd when your digging hard?

Thanks for any help Dan

One of the first things I'd look at is the NSBU switch. There have been many mentions on this forum regarding problems with the switch due to water intrusion. There is a much improved switch available which tan in color with a shield to help prevent water getting into the switch. The part number of the NSBU switch and shield kit is 29540479.

Hope this is helpful.
