deliver time

I have a built truck, K2500 DA, CC, LB, LT, setting @ the factory waiting for delivery 2 weeks and counting. Is it possible that the tailgate strap recall has delayed shipment or is a two week + load time normal??? Is it possible to pick my truck up myself or for the dealer?? If delivery is delayed too long the $2500 rebate may be no longer and may well be worth my time to fire up the rollback for a road trip.

with GM anythings possible, you should be locked into whatever rebates were available, if not refuse to take delivery and watch them change thier tune.

My GMC took three weeks to get to San Diego after it was built.

My truck was built this week. Dealer called today to say she has the invoice and the truck will be on the lot on Monday March 29. I will go tomorrow to do the paperwork and lock in my $3250.00 rebate. I am in California, btw. Whare are these trucks built?

Just got back from the dealer. Papers all signed, handed over the check. Now she tells me that the truck actually shipped on Marh 16th and to expect 8 to 10 days to get to their lot. Total price after rebate was $34,893 + tax (8 1/4 % - ouch!) and dmv $523 (Ouch again!)

Talked to the service manager and asked him about injector failures. He said that since the Duramax came out, he has only had 3 in the shop for injector failure. One at under 10K miles one at about 60K and one around 110K. He said he had not heard of anyone putting in an after market supplemental fuel filter. Now for the good one - he did not know what an LLY was. :rolleyes:

Little over 3 weeks since built and counting; no deliver yet!!!! Could the tailgate cable issue be holding this up on the factory lot?? Would GM try to replace the cables befor loading for delivery??? I would rather have the truck and deal later w/ the cables. bob...

Hello, its in, picked it up tonight, finally!!! Runs great, very comfortable, 10 miles now, just missed the hail, ground white w/ ice balls!! Tomorrow we drive a little, program the DIC a little, and install the trailer brake controller.
