Recall Campaign!!

Just heard that GM is releasing a campaign to replace all the tailgate cables with stainless steel cables. Says there are over 4 million vehicles included. That ought to teach them to go cheap on us!

I will be surpised if GM does not actual profit on this recall. The replacement parts have a manufacturing cost of maybe $4.00 a set and the labor will be trivial. But, since they are "there anyway", many owners will have an oil change, a transmission service, a brake job, or any number of other items that we tend to put off.

I bet they sell more than enough parts to offset the cost of the recall.
