Is the ZF 6 speed behind any other GM engines other than the Duramax?

Yeah its behind the 8.1L Big Block too!

Cary, yes it will bolt up to the 6.5. But - you need to change the clutch disk, the output is different into the transfer case and the trans is 2 1/2 inches longer = two drivelines to modify. And I think you would have to modify the hump in the floor board and the shifter opening.

Thats if you were thinking about putting one in your 97. If not ignore me, my wife does....

No not for my 97 it has a 4L80E in it and I love that. However I have another project that one might work in.
