FogLite Dam

While washing my truck, I noticed that the plastic dam below the bumper had a mottled look about it. Upon closer examination, it appears that it was painted a dark gray and there were spots where the black base mat'l was showing thru. Has anyone else noticed this on theirs?

Well, I swapped mine for the PIAA airdam a long time ago so I can't say for sure, but off hand I'd have to think somethings wrong because that piece shouldn't be painted at all.

On close inspection ~ it shows up after bug splatts. Perhaps caustic bug juice is eating off the finishing coating?

Hmm... that shouldn't be painted at all -- the color is part of the material, so I don't know what the story is there. You must have some pretty nasty bugs there. :eek:
