Mike at Quadzilla is under development with aftermarket tierods. While I was at his shop yesterday we somehow got on the topic of tierods and he is getting custom rods made. He broke his in the exact location of the two I broke. I will keep everyone up speed as I hear any progress. He fells like I do that our tierods are a design flaw - TOOO WEEAAKKKK.

Where are the tie rod failures occuring?? In the center section or is the tie rod end itself failing?? Will these new tie rods include the ends or do you use OEM ends in the new tie rod body?? They sound interesting and since I'm planning on some 285's and some more horepower (after trans upgrade) I think I might be needng them.

As soon as I know something I will fill yall in. The tierods are breaking just after the thread starts so towards the end near the tire and not in the middle.

I also want a set. I cannot believe I have not broken a tie rod with all the higher speed off road driving I do on rough roads with all the weight my truck carries (9200 normal weight), plus the fact I run 305E Nitto's. And yes, I am very happy with the Nitto's and the 10 ply casing. They have about 12,000 miles on them and they are still 60% tread, where everything else I've run went about 10,000 to 12,000 total miles.
I want a set. My 2500HD D/A just got new tires at 45,000 and they couldn't align the truck until I get the tierods replaced! Build them twice as good/strong and they will sell!

Everyone start calling Quadzilla and request them. This way they will speed the process up, with us telling them that there is a markey for them.

ME TOO, ME TOO!!!
I do a lot of high speed off road driving, (D/A has good flight characteristics for a flying brick.) I need a real HD truck. If I need to beef up the tierods, then so be it.
My shocks SUCK. Yes they are stock. I need to get some Bilstings but am trying to find someone with them in stock.

Its Mark not Mike, Sorry.
Does anybody have the TRUE part numbers for the inner, and then the outer, tie rods for 2001 2500HD D/A? My mechanic said the dealer would only sell the WHOLE centerlink with complete inner/outer tie rods as a UNIT for about $300, and wouldn't sell just the inner tie rods!
I have 1 inner tierod worn needing changing; the other is minimally worn but I am changing both anyway...but I DON'T need the whole freaking $300 thing!
GM Parts Direct gives 26059210 for inner, $20.97 each plus $8 shipping, total $50.00
BUT I am worried if that is the right part for my truck, it is special order/no return and no diagram available; one site gave WRONG part so???

He is right, you can only get the whole thing. So go ahead and pay 300.00 to Bullet Proof Steering and get real tierods. I am working with them to get me replacement tierods.
