Allison problem

Started the truck & put it into gear and nothing happened, put in reverse then it finally went into gear. First tranny problem I have had, now at 40K miles. Just got off the phone with my buddy who bought his D/A at the same time & his truck did the same thing. Any suggestions?

How long did it set between starts. THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE EARLY TRUCKS.

Does this sound like the NSBU switch or a programming issue? Both trucks were built late 2001 for 2002.
