When my son went out to go home after work tonight he found a puddle of oil under the power steering pump of his Cummins Diesel. The oil came out of the top of the pump reservoir. He didn't have steering or brake assist. After shutting it down and restarting a few times it went to working. It sounds like dirty oil, sticking check valve etc. This got me thinking about our system. I thing ours is basically the same. I can't find anything in my manuals that tells when to change the oil. It is a hydraulic system and I don't see a filter. Looks like we should service it at some interval. Anyone have any info on it? Later! Frank ;)
