level?

Has anyone noticed the same problem? My truck 2500HD cc 4x4 is not level from side to side, with a tape measure the front end side to side is pretty level, BUT the tailgate end is a good 1/2" off the dealer made a adjustment to the torsion bar and said it is now in spec. But the tailgate end is still not level. Looks to me all it did was raise the front end.... :confused:

My 2002 extcab,sb also has the same problem. I called my dealer and they said oh yeah, it is a torsion adjustment and to bring it in and plan on them having it about 1.5 hours. If they try to tell me is is in spec. I'll have a few point to make and hopefully all will come out well. Mine is about 3/8 to 1/2" off.

I've seen a couple of sources that GMs position is 1/2" is close enuff. Don't expect any real correction unless it excedes that. ~ odoh

Guys, measure your truck with fuel tank empty and fuel tank full. I think you'll find it's pretty level with the tank empty. But when you put 300lbs of fuel on the left side of the truck it's going to sit a little down on the left side. You can try a counter-weight, in the box, on the right side to level 'er up. But methinks that your just going to have to live with it ;)
