View Full Version : Rancho settings??
I just installed RS 9000's on my 3500 crew cab. I have tried 3 and 3 while the truck is empty. Nice ride, maybe a litle mushy. Am loading the camper (11.5 ft. Alpenlite, heavy) on Sunday. What settings are other camper owners using? I was thinking of 5 front and 7 rear?? Thanks

I run 6 front and 3 rear while empty, and run 9 front and rear with the same camper you have. That's running on the highway. Sometimes I back the rears down to 8 for sideroads.

Dont be afraid of running your shocks stiff with a top heavy load like your running! I dont have the new shocks like your 1-9 mine are 1-5! I run 4~5 on the rear 3~4 on the front with about 1200lbs in the bed..... tool and trailer weight totals! I would start off with 7+ all the way around.

I run on 9 all the time.
With camper on 9 and 9 all the time.
Love the stability.
I've got the Hellwig sway bar and airbags too.

With Lance 1030 I run 9 and 9 on paved roads. Washboard gravel I soften it up to 7 and 7 or 8 and 8.
Empty I run 4 in the front and 2 in the rear. My experience is tire pressure has as much to do with a "comfortable" ride empty as shock settings.
Thanks everyone. I am going to turn them up a notch or 2.
