I went to the Dealer and asked them if my 2004 Silverado has a cabin air filter. The service manager was not sure if it still did. He took me to the Parts department and had them look it up. They looked at the 2003 through 2005 parts list. It was listed and shown. They printed the parts diagram for me with it shown in it. The parts number was 88986533. Can someone tell me how it is changed? I lowered the kick panel and I did not want to start removing the whole bottom of the housing. It is not like the 2001-2002 models that has a removeable panel to access it.

The air distribution ducts were changed in 2003 and newer to accomodate the dual zone climate control. The cabin filter mount and access was removed at this time.

Have a look at the Diesel Place Forum. If you want to have air filters in your AC system you need to make some modifications. I've attached a link to a thread that goes through the modification process.
