View Full Version : Clock indicating wrong time
I know this has been discussed before but I can,t find using the search feature.
My clock in my 2001 Duramx won't keep the correct time. Sometimes it is two hours or more off. What has been the fix.

Is it reading wrong when you are playing a CD? If so, push recall one more time for the real time. What you are seeing is the CD/song time. If it's displaying the wrong time all the time(nice rhyme hugh!!) I don't now. I made the same mistake today and was waaaaay!! late for an appointment.
AKDmax No I haven't been playin a CD(wife has all my CD's in her car}.
It seemed to lost two hours overnight.
sometimes it's the easy stuff. Here are some links to "clock" problems I found using search.

William,
I have posted a similar issue. See http://forum.62-65-dieselpage.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=7&t=003526. Did you notice if your stereo was turned off when the time was displayed incorrectly? Have not found a resolution to this problem yet. Please post any info you find out.
AKDMAX - Thanks for the links to previous threads.
There is a thread I found indicating a few TSB's -
01-08-44-005 APR 01 Radio Display - Error Code Diagnosis/Repair
or this:
01-08-44-006A JUN 01 Audio System - Clearing `CLN' Message From Display
I called the dealer last week and they indicated there were no known TSB's regarding radio/clock issues. Go figure....time to call the dealer and raise h***!!

I have had the same problem with my clock. I discovered that it was 8 hours behind. My kids were playing CD's the day before. This has happened twice now. I'll try the recall button next time and see what happens.

The stereo wasn't on at the time.
