What a PITA. Cutting off the stripped nut was a major pain. It led me to removing the inner fender, but I did it. I'm now sporting the GM8 turbo on my 94. There's really no seat of the pants difference, but I can hear my turbo again and that's WITH the muffer. The muffler would effectively kill any sound the GM4 made, but the GM8 sings. I have my ricerturbosound back again!
Quick heat plugs are in. Truck starts so much better now. Still have a mushroom cloud of smoke, but it roars to life and settles into idle quicker rather than loping and thinking for a minute or two, then idleing. But of course, broken plug will do that to you.
