How Many 2001/2002 Dmax's Produced

I do know that in 1956, Chevrolet produced only 7886 Nomad
station wagons :cool: Does any one know how many 2001 and 2002
Chevy Duramax and GMC Duramax pick-ups have been produced?

Well I called Chevy and they were able to tell me that
104,862 (3/4)ton Duramax Chevy's were produced
for the year model 2002.

As this time they could not give me the number for
the one ton trucks. The customer assistant said to
call back in a few weeks. On the road I certainly see
more of the 3/4 ton trucks, however the lady helping
me said that who ever she spoke with estimated that
there are probably the same number of one ton trucks
produced in 2002.

I have heard that the Duramax engine plant has a production capacity of 400 engines a day, and they go into the 2500, 3500 and 4500 series.

If we assumed 350 days of production per year (and I don't know how many days are worked there per year), and full production each day, that would be 140,000 engines per year for Chevy and GMC combined.
