rear diff capacity

What's the capacity of the rear differential? I know fill it till it spills out the filler hole but how meny quarts (liters) do I by. Should I get an expensive synthetic?

I just changed mine and it held almost 3 bottles of the 80-90wt stuff.I just put the rated g5 in mine. I have no choice on the synthetic.

I would run synthetic. Many brands to choose from, I run Mobil 1.

Depends on which axle you have. 9.5 (LD) or 10.5 (HD)
