Was wondering how many miles those who have 2002 duramaxes...I have 28,000 on it already and got mine 9/24/02....Just trying to compare to see just how high this is or if it is at all.....Thanks dmaxster :cool:

Whew!!! I thought that I was racking up the miles at 13,500. That's nothing compared to you. I took delivery of mine 11-07-01. Hope all of your miles have been as trouble free and fun as mine!!

It sounds like you are going at it hard. I picked up my 3500 D-Max on Jan 18, 2002 and have 11,500 miles on it so far. I go out of town almost every weekend and I won't be where you are in the same amount of time. I catch myself just getting in my truck and driving off even when I don't know where I am going. It seems I just need to at times. Most of the time I head for the mountains and enjoy the power of the D-Max.

Picked up 05/16/02. All the way up to 1500 miles.
Picked up my baby on 11-28-01 and have 18,460 fun filled, trouble free miles.

Took delivery 3/5/02 and have had no problems in 10,500 miles.
We took a 3,000 mile road trip when it had 2,500 miles on it.

Took delivery on 12/10/01, now over 14,000 miles. I love it, drives great, cruises nicely, and tows hard. I must say, too, that the Banks exhaust is a must!
So far, totally trouble free, and has consumed no oil. My only complaint is that the stock shocks suck.

Thanks guys...when I first started looking on TDP...and following a little closer I was like how can these guys have all these miles on their Dmaxes....but I guess miles add up fast......Sorry about the date it was 9/24/01....but it seems like most of you knew that....just a little info on her....I am pulling GVW 22,500 and the truck is only 7,000 with the driver and one rider.....we mainly use it right now for the race season....we travel to Plover WI on Friday, stay overnite in Plover at one of our sponsors....and Saturday we head up to Marshfield WI. ....SO I pretty much just love the truck on how it pulls and how the ride is....went down to Indiana in April and pulled 21.9 miles with it...and 17-19 just riding around city and Highway...pulling the rig is a different story though.... There I only get 8-9 Mpg's.....not as good as I had expected.....I have 7,000 Lbs on the rear axle and when the road is wet you really have to watch the take offs with the trailer because we usually have to let up and restart becasue the rear starts to bunny hop....That's not good. so we really watch it....everything is stock, no mods....hopefully soon though....I did add the Lucerix mirrors from Kennedy...Love them....dmaxster

Took delivery on June 4th, 2002...
She now has 2983 miles on her.
By the end of July, she'll have another ~7,000 miles on her... 4,000 of which will be light towing (ClackaCraft drift boat).
purchased 10/1/01 turned over 15,000 6/15/02...runs great, no major complaints ;)

Took delivery early Nov 01 - by early Jan had 1,500 miles on it and left for Chiapas Mexico and Guatemala, Honduras, & Belize. Did over 1,000 miles 4X4 in muddy jungle, pushed it very hard both on & off road for 15,000 miles. Hauled 6,000 lbs of stone columns back from Guadalahara to Oregon. 5 oil changes, 1 fuel filter change (and it wasn't necessary). Engine and trans performed flawlessly, no a single burp. It has exceeded my wildest expectations in every way. Even the factory shocks lasted about 10,000 miles without going soft, where Edelbrocks on past vehicles under same usuage went to pieces in less than 7,000 miles. Second best new car delivery I've ever had in over 30 new car purchases (best was a 73 Porsche 911)
Truck was built the week of March 18, 2002. Been driving it since March 23, 2002 with almost 12,000 miles on the odometer. Would have been driving it a day earlier but the truck beat the invoice to the dealer which is only 45 min away from Flint Truck & Bus where the HD's are built.
dmaxster, got mine 9-21-01, have 17575 on now and getting ready to put about another 7500 on her it the next 2 months.

Mine arrived 12/18/01, mileage is 10,500. Considering that it is not used for work, but only on my days off, mileage is quite a bit higher than I thought it would be at this time. I just can not stay out of this truck. :D :D

Picked up mine 3-21-02 and have 9994 miles.
Average MPG for 9618 miles: 15.2 MPG
Normal driving 3406 miles: 17.35 MPG (Around town and short trips)
Trailer 7k TT 3490 miles: 11.81 MPG
Unloaded road trip 2713 miles: 19.3 MPG (Round trip Albuquerque, NM to Portland, OR at speed limit + 5-10)
My first diesel and I love this truck!! :D

Hay gardnerteam I missed you in Guatemala, Gee I thought I was the only one there with a Dmax from Jan to Apr. Put about 10,000 miles on that trip. Was on some real back roads in the mountians hauling food to a drought stricken region. The truck did great. This winter I'll be going to Costa Rica and Panama. Love the truck now have 18,000 on it.
Picked up 3/22/2002.
Today have just over 4800 miles
Leaving on a 3,500 mile trip in a few weeks.
Took delivery of 2002 on 9-26-01 now has 26, 285.0
Traded in a 2001 bought on 01-20-01 with 24,000 on the clock. :D :D
Not a Duramax, but my 8.1L Allison purchased 10/17/01 has 6100 miles on it.

I got allllllll of you beat. Took delivery on 11/13/01. Now showing 35,500 miles on it. :D :D :D I bought it to drive it. Those of you that drive in Michigan and Ohio, look for "TYLENOL" (License Plate) and wave at me. :D :D

old school 2001 model here...
Took delivery sometime in late April/early May 2001.
I have a little over 70,000 miles on it now, and have put 31,000+ since Jan. 1.
Best economy to date: crappy.
Average economy: even worse. :D
Got mine in March 2001. Have 29,000 miles on it smile.gif
Got mine November 30, 2001. Now has 20,870 miles on it. No problems except for the blasted steering box rattle. Goes to the dealer in a week or two.
