I recently found a source to get the black undercoat (Nox Rust X-121B in spray can)on these new GMC/Chevy frames.
They will sell a minimum 2 cans for $12.00 + shipping.

Yes, THANKS!!! :D :D :D
I tried several dealers around me and none were interested in ordering the spray cans.

I bet these folks get ALOT of calls today!

Most dealers didn't even know what the hell I was talking about when I asked for something to repair a few spots where the undercoat came off the frame! You would think that they would carry some kind of touch up considering how easy this crap comes off.

Well I just received the cans today and they work perfectly. I had an area that Diesel spilled on after priming which had bare metal showing down the inner front wheelwell. After cleaning I sprayed a few thin coats. It looks and feels like new. I was told to make sure frame is clean were this stuff is used. Mineral Spirits was what they suggested as a solvent. If its not clean enough it will just bubble up and peel off! Can you believe this stuff was invented by Duebert Chemical in 1920!!! Good Luck.

Just make sure you don't spray it on anything that's already rusted. But I guess where you live that's not as much of a problem as it is for someone like me... :D

I suspect that if we lose a little of this
undercoat....... no big deal, as it is only an appearance issue for most of us.

Can't imagine it would ever pose a problem
with integrity of the frame or other coated
metal parts on our trucks.
