First of all, sometimes when I hit 3000rpm the motor stops making power. It still runs and all, but seems like I hit a wall. I can push the pedal to the floor at that point, but it doesn't do a thing. This only happens in drive(3rd gear).
Secondly, I don't recall it having it before, but on my 1-2 shift the tranny shifts really hard. The rest of the shifts are fine.

sounds like my truck when it had the factory GM-4 turbo on it.

need to know more about the truck, and if there are any codes.

BigD is this in third or fourth? Are you towing in third or do you run in OD? With the stock chip my truck wouldn't go over 2750 in fourth but was okay in third. And mine has a harsh upshift at 1-2 as well that I'd like to cure.

This is in drive running empty. Apparently GM has updated software for the electic 6.5's to deal with the harsh shifting and such. I'm going to call my dealer tomorrow and see if my Tahoe has had this done to it already. My PMD is throwing a P0216 code, which I'm hoping the reflash will get rid of. I'll let you know.

The P0216 is "Injection pump timing malfunction". It might be time for a new FSD (PMD). As for the hard shift, some say check and clean the speed sensor plug on the trans, apparently the plug gets dirty contacts and leads to hard shifts. Good Luck

On my 93 when the speed sensor in the tranny whent bad it would not shift OD and would shift 2nd like I had one hell of a shift kit.
