I guess I just have bothered to take the time to read the manual..... :rolleyes:

Where does that big fuse go for the 12V feed to the trailer wiring? You know, to provide 12V aux power to the trailer.......

On my 2003 there was an Orange colored plastic cover with "B+" stamped on the top of it on the upper leftmost spot in the underhood fuze box (think it's labeled "STUD 1". Remove the plastic plug, insert new "J" form factor 30 amp fuse. Some folks have said there was one provided in the glove box? Not in mine! They're about $3 apiece at NAPA. Just what we needed: yet another form factor for fuses.

BTW this is not a "switched" supply. It's always hot.

It wasn't there in your 2003 because it comes taped to the brake controller pigtail.

Which you 2003 guys didn't get.

Makes up for the Trip Computer, which we 2001-2002 guys didn't get. smile.gif

Well taking delivery of my new 03 Friday so that means another t-shirt. I would trade my t-shirt for the under the hood light, which I noticed is missing from the 03's. Or I would trade for 6" of block heater cord which I also noticed was shorter than the one on my 02. ;)

On my 2002 I didnt have to add any fuses, as has be said in a number of other posts, the fuse was installed at the factory.

As for the block heater cord:

I took a 12 gauge electrical cord and did some extravegant splicing to make it about 3 feet long. Wrapped it end to end with black electrical tape for that "hidden" effect and the plugin now resides behind my license plate. (what was GM thinking on this short cord anyway?)

As for the hats:

I emailed about the hats a few weeks ago (heck I'm 50 miles from the Canuck border, I gotta have one). This was my response:

Hi Conrad,

I can get as many of these hats as you want. I will have 3 more coming in at the end of next week. I also have available to me the Duramax Chevrolet hat. Pricing on these hats are $21.95/each (Canadian).

CanadaKev.........Have no pics but if you go to Pacific Duallies homepage you can get a real good idea. Mine are made for the 01-02-03 Chev and the fit is very good, with no rattles and no wobble. You have to look real close to see they are only sims. The finish is excellent and they are all Stainless Steel including the center caps. Price was about $320.00 for set. They are available from wholesaler in Vancouver and can get his name if you are interested.
The block heater cord is curled up on passenger side of truck. Takes about 15 minutes to find, 15 miutes to stretch out and a beer and alot of cursing to find it is 6 inches short. ;)
