There are products available to improve backup light intensity/coverage/illumination.
These would include LED taillight assemblies, and a range of auxiliary lights that can be wired into the BU circuit.

I have installed B/U lights on my wife's Trailblazer and my D/M. They work great, especially when putting a boat in at the boat ramp or giveing the kids some light when they are closing the gate at the lease.
I have pics if you want them. Rangerjbf@aol.com

I went to Walmarts and bought a coupleof those round black utility lights for $9.95 each and put them under the rear bumper. More light than I need for the price and quality ya can't beat them
Tks I will check them out! tongue.gif
Depending on what you need them for.....higher intensity close in, or more of a general flood, will determine whats best of course.I had a need for a more concentrated close in B/U lite and used fog lites. They are a focused beam that focuses the beam downward and outward. Met my needs and something you might want to consider. In another application I used small (4" - 4 1/2") tractor working lights. They were more of a general flood light. Mounted in a heavy rubber gasket between sealed beam and case....pretty hardy. Never tried any of the new lamps for the existing lights, but I suspect that would be my first effort before I dirtied up the lines of my truck with add-on lites.
Good Luck
Hey D-Max....I just now noticed...1950 M Farmall,

Going hunting this afternoon. I also heard the whites are running near SweenySwitch.
Email me at Rangerjbf@aol.com if you want pictures of those backup lights.
