Brake light on dash flashing

Has anyone else had there brake light start flashing.Only way i could get it to stop was to apply parking brake & release it, then it would start all over again.

Did the chime go ding as well? Try pulling the release and pulling the pedal up manually all the way>

Yes the chime was going off as well. I applied parking brake just a little & released it while i was driving & then released it went off for couple minutes then started back up again. I did all the above steps again. This continued for 40-50 miles. Truck then sat for 3 days & when i got back into to drive back home it never did it again. This was a very strange event. Other than this happening ive never had a problem with anything.

I think if the brake light comes on and stays on it means you need to check your brake fluid level...not sure if this has a similar meaning.
