Tire????

Got a new 2500hd 4x4. The tires make the truck look so wimpy!! So it neeeds bigger tires. I have been reading and people that have done the 285 size tire would there be enough room on the back wheelwells to put the 305-70r16(33x12.50r16)?? I have read that the front on some have a little problem clearin the 285, so I was lookin at puttin a leveling kit on the front of the truck and sneaking in 305. This guys have the leveling kit that raises the front of the truck 2 inchs with out crankin the t-bars up. http://www.cepek.com/

DLSPOWR, Did thoes 295's do anything to the shift points with the Allison?? What about the odometer reading?? Man I really like the looks of thoes tires. Oh yea, what is the width also?

I noticed a slight power loss when loaded (exceeding GCVW), but the shift points are the same just ground speed is slightly off. The odometer is off, not sure exactly what percentage though. I think if I am remembering correctly the actual width of those tires at the tread are 11.5". Hope this answers your questions.
