I wrote in April about a blown ABS computer that the dealer claimed was caused by backfeeding voltage to the computer when I shut off my truck without shutting off my blower fan.
They replaced my ABS computer. GM stuck by the dealership on the need to shut off the blower fan before shutting off the truck - VERBALLY. They wouldn't put it in writing, and had not sent anything to the dealer in writing.
I got a call a little over two weeks ago from the dealer. They claimed to have a "fix" for the problem which involved updating my computer's "software."
I brought it in, and they did it. It doesn't seem to have screwed anything up, but time will tell.
They mentioned a bulletin on the repair order. I think there is a #, and if anyone has access to that, I'd be glad to look it up & send it.
