View Full Version : Wheel back spacing question
What is the back spacing on our stock wheels? I have been running 265's on my stock wheels with no problem. I may be getting a set of Revo's this spring and may go to a wider wheel. (7"-8" wheel). What would be the correct back spacing on the wider rim? Thanks in advance.

4-5/8" is optimum for a 16 X 8 wheel. I've heard of some going with 4-1/2" and being OK. I wouldn't go any less than that. More than 4-5/8" could cause contact with the control arms or brake components. IIRC, stock is 4".
I Have 16 X 8's with 4-5/8" backspace and 285/75/16 Bridgestone Deuller A/T's and no rubbing (until the Mega filter). All the rubbing can be avoided with a little tweaking (not the powdered kind). I reshaped the plastic inner fender with a heat gun and wire ties. Easy and works well.
