HAVING BEEN TOWING FOR THE LAST 4 MONTHS I figured I should change the tranny filter, along with general maintenance, Allison parts man pulls out this bulletin stating the filter has been up graded to include an internal bypass at no extra cost, then when he pulls the filter up on the computer the bulletin has been superseded by another upgrade.
filters are as follows
original # P/N 29531007. bulletin up grade # P/N 29537268. SUPERSEDED (LATEST) P/N 29539579.
The old filters are to be sold before the latest get put on the shelf.
There is also a reminder that there is to be no more than one turn of the filter after gasket contact when installing.
