After only 13,000 miles, my stock shocks are worn out. I hear this is common. Most of us are driving around on worn shocks. I ordered a set on Bilsteins from Kennedy. I'll probably get them on next weekend.

afp,

I think you will be pleased. I never liked the shocks on my truck. A friend has 170,000 miles on his F150 with the stock shocks (freeway miles) and his shocks now feel like mine did new. The Bilsteins changed all that. No more wheel hop or pogo-sticking down the road. The ride is firm, but I like that.

Anyone know if GM used different shocks in '03 compared to '02? My '02 never felt as "jouncy" as my new '03. Almost threw me in the ditch in one instance when I was taking a curve on the highway and hit a depression in the pavement. I had to get another hold of the wheel and hung on. Not happy about that one.

But like I said, sure seems like night and day between this and my '02 HD.

I bought a set from JK about a month ago, and MAN, I have to say.... they REALLY look good in that box they came in! Every weekend has been busy. :( tongue.gif

Alli-Max,

A good looking box is always a plus! I am going to try and get mine on this weekend. BTW, where is Atlanta, TX?

Blaine,

Atlanta is in GA. The shocks are in TX. As you can see, that's part of his problem.
LOL
