I just got my 03 D/A Crew Cab Longbox LT with all the goodies, I love the truck, by far the nicest truck I have even been in... only thing... WTF is up with the iddy biddy tires they ship with?

I would like to go with a set of 315/70/16's I have been measuring and I don't see why they would not fit, they stand 33.26" tall. Anybody run them?

Also what is the width of the factory rim?

Hey There,

Don't change to anything bigger than a 265/75 r16!!!!! You simply will run in to tuns of problems with the tranny, performance, fuel milage, etc. They are almost 33 inches tall. This is the only size that the Alison can be reprogramed for. Don't shoot yourself in the foot like others have done! Good luck, and enjoy the truck!

I run 285's on my rig, you should recal the speedo when going that big.Predator will do it, gm wont. Mine did rub before surgery

Darn guys... yall are not giving me alot of hope.. I came out of a 3/4 ton Cummins and was running 35's stock... You mean to tell me a 31" tire will rub and the Allison will not calibrate for such a minor size difference...

Hate to buy a predator just to recal the speedo.. I plan on a Juice or Powermax box in the near future..

Its pretty sad when I get on my creeper and my head will barely fit under the frame rails.. this guys gotta have a little height!!!

TPIJeep, I am running 295's that are supposed to be 33.5" but on my truck with 40 psi they are more like 32" on stock wheels. I have 20k miles with 305/70/16 and no problems with the tranny. I only turned the torsion bar and did not have to trim anything. I have seen 315's on a HD but it is very close even after trimming the air dam. You will also have to tie the inner fender well on the driver side to keep it from rubbing. Hope this helps.
