View Full Version : Bullydog System good or bad
Just looking for advice on this, adding propane to a diesel engine goes against all my years of big bore diesel experience. But if it does not harm my engine (6.5 turbo) I think it would come in handy while towing my camper.
Thanks

Several people on the forum use propane augmentation. I personally have never tried it. The chemistry and physics make sense, it just seems a little scary to me. Lot's of Cummins guys use this trick as well.
Member HowieE uses propane supplied from his trailer tanks with a pretty ingenious arrangement. His works well, but I don't have enough guts to try that.
If you decide to add propane you better monitor EGT's closely to prevent a meltdown.

Doesn't propane allow the engine to run cooler?
Been talking to Powershot about their systems. Looks interesting...
I have the Powershot 2000. Gives around 30rwhp. It does not increase EGT but it does make it boost quicker and 2-3 lbs more.
