Hey Guys, I've been lurking here for many months and I really appreciate all the good advice given here on the forum and wanted to start out by Thanking You.

I'm in the middle of my guage install and need some help. I am installing Autometer Guages in the overhead console on my 2002 and began running the Pyro cable down the Passenger side A-Pillar and now cannot locate a good place to drill through the firewall on that side. I've read other posts about drilling through on the driver's side but my cable iss not long enough to make the run.

I installed mine in overhead also. I ran the wires down the drivers side no problem running the wires. I call Auto meter and they sent me a extension for the wire. Works OK. If you didnt already install your guages there you might what to rethink because I find it a pain looking up there to watch guages pulling a hill with the trailer on.

your gonna have a sore neck from cranking it over to look at em up there. BUt as far as a place to drill, there is a dimple in the firewall, and a precut piece of insulation under the dash. pull the corner of the insulation back on the outside of the truck under the hood and you will see a dimple, shine a light up under the dash, above the relay box and you will see a round piece about 1 3/4 in diameter, its cut so just a tug on the tab and its a clean install
