to anyone who has the 3500 with air lift springs. would like to know if you removed the two helper springs and let the air lift do the job. had the springs rearked to lower the truck to haul my 5er and my helper springs are very close to the pads. would
like to know if I can remove them and still be OK.

At the very least, I would move the "slapper pads" to allow sufficient travel before contact. I've had #3k in my bed BEFORE adding the air bags and it sat pretty decent. I have 1 extra leaf installed. I think removing the slappers would be a sound idea.

when I added my Air Lifts the shop removed the longest regular spring (one next to the one that attaches to the frame ... rides much better empty and hasn't seemed to hurt hauling capacity ... Jim
