Anyone know what that little "speaker" thing is above my head in the cab? It about the size of a quarter and looks like a speaker grille. Its a "03" GMC D/A

It is the sensor for the climate control air conditioner. smile.gif

You aren/t referring to the microphone for the OnStar system are you? It's on the driver's side of the overhead console near the windshield.

At least that's where it is on my 2001 LT, I haven't seen a 2003 yet.

It's the "ambient air sensor" opening. IIRC, there's a little fan assembly behind there that pulls in air from the cab and adjusts the automatic climate control (temperature) accordingly. I remember there were some problems with noisy fans, and with it right near your ear, I'm sure it doesn't take much!
