Has anyone run 235/85R16E tires. Taller and narrower than stock. Should be good for snow.

I have been eyeballing 235/85's myself. Just waiting until the stock tires wear out before I go to either 235/85's or 265/75's. I don't really care about a wider set of meats, I just want something taller to fill out the wheel wells a little. Plus, I think the 235's would be safer on the stock wheels when loaded heavily.

I ran Michelin LTX M/S in this size for about 30k miles. Because they were so narrow they did not seem to handle well. They did great in the snow and ice that we had down here last year. Overall I'm happier with my 255/85/16 Mud Terrains. Check out my webpage in my signature to look at the 235's on my truck. They definitely look small. I think the 255's are the way to go and still be safe with our narrow wheels.

How much taller are the 255/85/16's than the stock 245/75/16's. they look good on the 1BADDMAX's unit.

According to 1010tires.com, the factory 245/75/16's are 30.46" in diameter and 255/85/16's are 33.06" in diameter. It will vary a little by tire manufacturer and rim width, but this would be a good baseline to go by. Also, by this calculator, the 255's would be 10.03" wide vs the 245's width of 9.645".
