I believe your 2003 will be upgradeable. I think the cut-off was the 2002's I'm planning on upgrading my 2004.5 later on. Unless I buy a 2006.5. :D :D Don't tell my wife. :( You can go to Onstars' web page for the details. tpitt

I just got my wife's 04 Sub upgraded today. The dealer told me this was the first one they have worked on. I had to leave it because they weren't sure what to do and in case they ran into problems, but 90 minutes later it was finished. I believe the older vehicles are kinda outa luck on upgrades unless there is a way to do it yourself. All the dealer did in my case was replace the VCM(?) and the 02s & 03s require a different antenna. I believe the kit is 500 bucks...Yikes  , but you would have it. Also, I was looking at the bulletin that the shop foreman was using and it had the 02, 03, 04s listed so I'm guessin' only the '01s and earlier are not covered...glad I didn't get OnStar in my 2001 dually... :D

I did my 03 in May. the upgrade was free but you have to buy a 3year subscription to onstar at $540ish. Much better system IMO.... Oh yeah you can then link it to your verizon cell. Now I use it everyday.
