Mavrick, I had the opportunity to see one of the first Dmax's torn down at a local stealership when my 94 was in the shop. It was one of the engines that came out with one of the bad cams in the early runs. Push rods were all chewed up. The yanked the whole engine and just dropped in a new one.

Maverick , What exactly happened that it blew the head gasket? I don't like to see that at ALL! Also how many miles did it have on it when it blew . Nice pics too! Turbo6600 redface.gif

Maverick, can you PLEASE tell me where you got the Allison Automatic stickers for your truck, the ones with the white background?
My Duramax will be white also.

I purchased a black one already for the tail-gate, but I like the idea of having another WHITE one on the truck above the Duramax Diesel Emblem.

As for the NEW front end on the '03's.......
Not liking them at all. Not liking that fake step side look on the 1500HD either...what is that little bed bulge all about?

Kind of funny, I really liked the front end change from the 98 to 99. Truck and body lines looked clean. Now...Man my heart is just not in it...My friends saw the Pics and said....HELLO!

Oh well. hopefully I am not going to have to worry about a new truck for a long long time. By then this design will be gone and something new will take it place and GM will have Polled the "Right" consumers about body designs and not the people looking for the $75 to show up and answer questions and leave without really looking at it....
