I personally rotate mine every 10000km, what ever that is in english, all 7 figure it can't hurt and of course the 15000lb hoist at work helps alot too. 40 some thouand miles and tires still look new.

I am on your side, 40 bucks every rotation, before long you can have fresh tires, air them up when you got that heavy camper on an they will last longer than you think and run cooler, mi2cents but it works on the co duallys an we keep them loaded

56,

When I had my 98 K3500 CC Dually I found that rotating the tires definitely helped maximize the life of the tires. On a dually the fronts are going to wear much faster. As long as the tires on the front and rear are the same size it makes sense to rotate them. Also the 4WD IFS dually’s tend to wear the outside of the front tire, so rotating helps even out the as wear as well. I rotated mine every 5000 miles such that the tires didn’t change direction of rotation. The first interval would be to swap the fronts to the opposite rear outside dual. For the second interval, the fronts would go to the same side rear inside dual position. In each case, one rear tire would remain in the same position. I also had Balance Masters (http://www.balancemasters.com/) dynamic wheel balancer’s which worked great (If anyone’s interested I still have them (http://community.webshots.com/photo/79995129/79995451IzFLbV)). As long as you can do this yourself, or buy tires with a lifetime balance & rotation (ie Sams Club), IMHO it pays off in longer tire life.

They'll definately last longer if rotated, but at 40 bucks a pop for rotation I doubt if it makes sense economically. $40 sounds high try shopping around.

I do a 7 tire rotation (by diagram in manual) every 5,000 miles (change oil at same time)... I usually do it myself because a 7 tire rotation never requires more than one corner of the truck to be jacked up at any one time ... have 43,000+ miles on original tires and anticipate 10,000-15,000 more miles left on them ... I don't rotate on any of my vehicles, 2 of which are duallies. Tires have been lasting around 40,000 miles on the duallies. I don't think I am an exception. My '01 I just got rid of had 54,000 on the original Steeltex's, granted the rears were thin, but were still rolling. My wife's '02 Maxima has 20k on it, no rotation, no signs of abnormal wear. Somebody must be having the same experience  .

THe tires on my 01 went 50,000 miles. I dont do a complete rotation. I simply swap the inside rears to the outside and vice versa.

I rotate mine, 6 tire, every other oil change, 10,000 miles. I have 66,000 on them now and belive they'll go to 70,000, but not any farther.

I rotate mine every 5000 miles, but unfortunately it looks like mine will be gone by the time I reach 20k. I put BFG A/Ts on at 800 miles. Tire wear is pretty even on all 7 tires, so I guess those BFGs just don't last, or perhaps the issue is my driving style...
